Hello, I am Emma Carew Grovum, the Director of Careers and Culture at The Marshall Project. I lead recruitment, career and professional development, workplace culture, internal staff and manager training, and DEI programs. My work has also included overhauling onboarding experiences for new hires, designing a hybrid internship program, and hosting several staff convenings.
I am also the founder of Kimbap Media - a consultancy that solves problems at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and audience. Additionally, I am a founding steering committee member of the News Product Alliance and a partner of Media Bridge Partners.
Today, I'm coaching journalists on leadership, product thinking, and digital transformation, while also providing anti-racism interventions to bring change to newsrooms.👩🏫
